Spring Valley is bounded by Massachusetts Avenue to the northeast, Dalecarlia Parkway to the west and Loughboro Road and Nebraska Avenue to the south, with American University’s main campus residing on the southeast corner.  Spring Valley was developed after World War I by renowned W.C. & A.N. Miller which real estate conglomerate is now owned by Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc. Many of the luxury homes have been remodeled with modern conveniences and expanded kitchens while maintaining their architectural charm and elegance.  Spring Valley’s residents include notable media personalities, attorneys, politicians, corporate officers and elite members of Washington society such as Attorney General Eric Holder, Brendan Sullivan, Former Senator Evan Bayh, principal Owners of the Washington Nationals baseball team, Ed and Debra Cohen, and Ann Compton of ABC News. Both former President Lyndon Johnson and George H.W. Bush owned Spring Valley properties.
